1.25 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden 7f

Cowboy Justice can build on a pleasing debut at this track on Derby weekend.

On that occasion he was beaten just under 4l into second by the subsequent Anglesey Stakes winner Beauty Inspire and the form looks quite solid with a number of those that finished behind him having since run well.

The step-up in trip should be fine for him and the easy ground won’t be a problem either.

Shark Bay looks an obvious threat as he followed a close third in an interesting maiden won by Atomic Jones with a nose second to John The Baptist here on Oaks weekend.

1.55 Loder Irish EBF Fillies Race 7f

Previous winners don’t have a particularly good record in this race so the two at the head of the field could be vulnerable and Cairde Go Deo might be the answer.

She got her career off to a decidedly promising start in an interesting 1m maiden at Leopardstown last month when she finished second to the talented Suwayra.

Another contestant from that race is the fourth-placed Livia Celeste. She broke slowly that day and looked quite green but there was plenty to like about the manner in which she finished out the race.

She was beaten 6¾l that day but could get a good deal closer to Cairde Go Deo on this occasion.

SELECTION: CAIRDE GO DEO

Next best: Livia Celeste

2.30 DMG Media Fillies Maiden 7f

Elanora might be capable of opening her account. She turns out again following a respectable fourth to Ulster Blackwater at Naas on Monday and can this shorter trip might be more suitable for her.

Any easing the ground will work in her favour and she has some very solid form to her name, which includes a second to Montego Bay at Naas earlier in the season and a good run behind St Mark’s Basilica on soft ground here last season.

Career

Micromoon began her career with a 4½l second to Miramis in a Gowran Park maiden last month. Micromoon will have to contend with much different ground but if coping with conditions she will run well.

SELECTION: ELANORA

3.05 Rathasker Stud Phoenix Sprint Stakes (Group 3) 6f

This could fall to the English raider Light Refrain. The daughter of Frankel has already shown quite a liking for soft ground and has been progressing well in decent company this season as evidenced by her 6f listed triumph at Nottingham in May and a Group 3 success at York last month.

Power Under Me ran quite well in the Group 2 Minstrel Stakes last time when he shaped better than the bare result after being inconvenienced by an errant rival.

The drop back to 6f should suit him and it is worth recalling that he was unlucky in a Group 3 at this trip at Naas a few months ago.

Gustavus Weston is penalised for his Greenlands Stakes win earlier this season but conditions will be in his favour and he comes here off an excellent second in the Sapphire Stakes here last month.

SELECTION: LIGHT REFRAIN

Next best: Power Under Me

3.40 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden 5f

Notoriously Risky should take beating. On a number of occasions she has shaped like a filly who is better than her rating of 79 as evidenced by a fine second to Pale Iris in a decent 6f three-year-old handicap at Naas much earlier in the season.

She seems to enjoy an easy surface so any further softening in the ground will be fine for her and expect her to turn out in good shape off a 67-day absence.

Jon Riggens debuts for a new stable after two good runs earlier in the season which saw him fill the runner-up spot in maidens won by Gyldan and Quarantine Dreams.

SELECTION: NOTORIOUSLY RISKY

Next best: Jon Riggens

4.40 TRI Equestrian Handicap 1m

The lightly weighted No More Porter is a hopeful choice. He produced a good effort to win a 30-runner 6f event on his handicap debut here two months ago and has since run two more decent races, the later of which yielded a third to Blue For You in a 1m Leopardstown handicap last month.

Back on an easy surface, there might be more to come from him.

Bopedro showed he can handle easy ground when running well at Listowel a couple of seasons ago, and his third to Sirjack Thomas in a premier handicap over this course and distance in late June reads like a strong piece of form.

SELECTION: NO MORE PORTER

Next best: Bopedro

5.10 Anglesey Lodge Equine Hospital Handicap 6f

Ramiro won a 7f handicap on heavy ground here last season and it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see him add to his haul here.

After showing signs of hitting peak form at Listowel in June, he then struck at Limerick a month later when defeating the capable and progressive Wee Pablo in a 7f handicap. He is only 4lb higher and the drop back to this trip isn’t a major concern.

Dragons Call looks to have solid claims. She ran quite well in a sprint handicap at Cork that was won by Pretty Smart a couple of weeks ago and prior to that she was a neck second to The Cola Kid at Naas.

SELECTION: RAMIRO
