AT Doncaster, Nigel Twiston-Davies’ Go Conquer, 8/1, ran out a comfortable winner of the Listed Sky Bet Handicap Chase. Always biding his time before picking up 20/1 chance Monbeg River, Tom Bellamy went on three out and Go Conquer was still on the bridle when quickening away from the last.

He runs in the colours of Paul and Clare Rooney and did particularly well, having been raised 4lbs for a defeat last time.

The stable also won the Moorland Racing Handicap Hurdle at Uttoxeter with Ballyandy, former winner of the Champion Bumper and Betfair Hurdle.

Not a fluent fencer, he will stick to conceding weight in good handicap hurdles, according to Carl Llewellyn.

Paul Nicholls’ Dynamite Dollars, set a seemingly straightforward task in Doncaster’s four-runner Grade 2 Lightning Novices’ Chase, started at 1/4 and easily accounted for Ballywood in the hands of Harry Cobden. He represents fair each-way value at around 7/1 in the Arkle.
