8 different trainers win at Leopardstown yesterday, they got the crowd and a great atmosphere, books just shaded it thanks to Jessie, Always a tricky day to win as a bookie for some reason, we just got the xs, Darkness Falls was the best backed of the day.

I wouldn’t say the @curraghrace figure was wrong felt busier than normal and was a much nicer day out than @LeopardstownRC

I thought they had (regrettably) settled on anything goes. Difficult to dislodge the winner unless you could be sure the dangerous dreadful ride won him a race he would not otherwise have won?

Richard Farquhar@RCFarquhar

But do you think that an 11-day ban is appropriate for such a wilfully dangerous ride, when it is his third ‘conviction’ this year?

The regulators have to do more to protect jockeys from themselves & each other, to say nothing of their horses.

Simon Madden@MAXBloodstock

Authorities too lenient on dangerous stuff, but I feel Shane Foley is being hung out to dry a bit on the Champion Stakes ride.

Did he cut off ABNS? Absolutely.

Was it intentional? Most likely.

Were horses snatched up? Yes.

Was it truly dangerous riding? No.

Paddy Barrett@PadjoeBarr

How could you not agree, and given the severity of the ‘final’ contact with A Boy Named Susie, and Shane still having his whip in the wrong hand in relation to the drift, the stewards made a disgraceful decision not changing the result.

Michael Dods Racing@mdodsracing

We were sad to hear of the passing of former jockey Paddy Donaghy at just 39. Paddy, a real character with a great sense of humour, used to ride out at Denton Hall and rode in a few races for us. Our thoughts are with his loved ones. Rest in peace, Paddy.
