First time at Fairyhouse Irish National day in years. No internet, audio commentary at track awful, no security moving people on. Queues for bars toilets etc bad too. Cheltenham paradise in comparison. I’m not usually fussy but it wasn’t great.

Absolutely agree, first and last time I’ll be there, all you want is quick service at a bar to go watch the racing then grab another an hour or two later, yday was queuing for an hour for a pint or toilet. Shame as actually enjoyed the racing and atmosphere

Our only negative on the day was the WiFi. My wife likes to enter the best turned out competition for each race round the parade ring and she had difficulty getting logged on to it for most races. We watched a race down by the final fence and found it OK

This was a really poor day for us. Not from a P&L perspective but from a Turnover perspective (and an AK punting perspective). COME RACING! And when you do bring a few quid with you next time. PS The internet was shite all day. In 2026 that’s just not good enough.
