Looking at the time data apart from the last furlong Ruling Court was quicker then Field Of Gold for three of the last four furlongs.

If Buick had been on Field Of Gold, Field Of Gold likely would have won.

If Shoemark had been on Ruling Court, Ruling Court likely wouldn’t have won. That’s the difference at the top level.
