DID you know that Susannah Ricci owns a vineyard in Kent?
The prominent racehorse owner has been producing wine from the 70-acre Yotes Court farm for over 10 years and some of the labels are named after top horses, which have carried the colours of her and her husband, Rich.
There are sparkling wines named after Benie Des Dieux, Chacun Pour Soi and Let’s Dance, and the names of the red, white and rosé bottles also reflect equine themes.
This week, Susannah launched a new sparkling wine named after Annie Power, winner of the Champion Hurdle 10 years ago.
Susannah told The Irish Field: “Annie Power was a truly special mare, who gave our team some of the most thrilling and emotional moments in racing. Her Champion Hurdle victory at Cheltenham remains one of the highlights of my life as an owner, and it felt fitting to honour that achievement with something equally elegant and celebratory. Annie Power Cuvée 21 is a tribute to her spirit - refined, vibrant and unforgettable.”
Orders can be placed online now and will be available to purchase from April.
