JULY is a massive month for Ballinrobe Racecourse.

They race on Monday and Tuesday, July 20th and 21st, and then they host two concerts on July 24th and 26th, as part of a local festival.

There’s also musical entertainment after racing on Tuesday 21st in the shape of Gavin Gribben, described as “one of Irish country music’s fastest-rising stars”.

Gavin is said to be from Co Down, but we’re not fooled. Surely this is a stage name for Kerry’s Bryan Cooper? We look forward to seeing Bryan/Gavin belt out “festival favourites including Pub Crawl, Waxies Dargle and Long Legged Woman, guaranteed to have the dancefloor full in the Mask Pavilion”. What a talent!
