HERE’S an opportunity for a well-organised person to help our amateur riders. The Qualified Riders Association is seeking a suitable person to liaise with Fegentri, the international federation for amateur riders which stages a series of international races each year.
Ireland hosts two such races each year, one in Leopardstown on the flat and one in Cork over hurdles. Irish riders, male and female, also travel to compete all over Europe.
Organise trips
The representative, who need not be a rider themselves, would liaise with Fegentri and riders to coordinate and organise trips. The representative would also be eligible for a fully-paid trip to the General Assembly, which is held in a different country each year.
Patrick Mullins has been doing this work in recent years and is looking to hand it over to the right person. If interested, email pwmullins89@gmail.com
