Racing career: Whydah was unplaced over his 15 starts between 2018 and 2020.

Second career: Whydah was campaigned to a high level by Sarah Wardell, who produced him up to CCI3-S level* in eventing once his racing career finished, most notably finishing fourth at Ballindenisk in 2023. Sarah and Whydah have also competed at the Treo Eile Christmas Show, winning in 2024.

More recently, the ride has been passed to her son Phonsie Wardell, who has continued the horse’s record with multiple placings at EI110 (J) level and a top-four finish in the Irish Pony Club Show Jumping Classic, where he also earned the highest-placed thoroughbred award. This combination competed at Cornbury Horse Trials last year, finishing in 13th place.
