DAVID Wachman’s exit from training has set in motion a couple of significant jockey moves.

Wayne Lordan, who rode most of Wachman’s runners, is to join Aidan O’Brien’s team at Ballydoyle, and Chris Hayes has agreed to ride for Fozzy Stack while maintaining his link with Kevin Prendergast.

Lordan has for many years been closely attached to the Stack yard. Tommy Stack retires at the end of this year and his son Fozzy takes over the licence.

Lordan said: “I’ve been with the Stacks for about 16 years but this is a good opportunity for me. I’ll keep my head down and give it a go.”

Hayes, 29, is currently on the sidelines having fractured his wrist in a fall while riding out in Dubai recently.

Fozzy Stack reported: “I am looking forward to working with Chris after the Dubai Carnival and hopefully we’ll have some good times together. He was champion apprentice three times, which is a rare achievement, and is a classic winning rider.

“Billy Lee, who had a brilliant season, will stay on in some capacity too and he will be used as Chris will still have the choice to ride for Kevin Prendergast when he so wishes.”
