THREE mares won an extra €5,000 for connections in February under the Weatherbys ITBA NH Fillies Bonus Scheme. Two of the three were winning a second bonus payment.

Almost two years to the day after winning her first bonus, the Willie Mullins-trained Kate Appleby Shoes claimed another payment when landing a Clonmel maiden hurdle. She is owned by Leo McArdle from Co Monaghan and was bred by Robert McCarthy in the Beeches Stud.

Punchestown scorer The Green Lady is another double bonus winner for owner George Moore, trainer Pat Fahy and breeders Patrick and John O’Connor.

Martello Park won her first bonus when she battled to victory in a Thurles bumper. A half-sister to Grade 1 winner Martello Tower, she was bred in Co Galway by Martin Cullinane and has been a model of consistency for trainer Mag Mullins, who shares the mare with her son Anthony.
