Tattersalls Online Sale has 37 lots on Tuesday

FIVE additional entries have been added to next Tuesday’s Tattersalls Online August, to complete a total of 37 lots catalogued. They include Joseph O’Brien’s recent Roscommon bumper winner Rotten Row and John McConnell’s Ballinrobe hurdle race scorer Calvados.

John Murphy’s Highfort Stables will offer the four-year-old Fairy Tree, runner-up in her only start in a Killarney bumper.

The well-bred Pour The Wine, a twice-raced daughter of Pour Moi who produced a promising effort when placed on her most recent start, will be consigned by Peter Fahey.

The supplementary entries are completed by the Stuart Williams trained three-year-old filly Beija Flor. The daughter of Exceed And Excel has been placed three times in 2021 and is from the close family of this year’s Group 2 German 2,000 Guineas winner Mythico.

The featured lots are Coventry Stakes runner-up Eldrickjones and smart three-year-old sprinter Apollo One. Bidding opens at noon on Monday and closes from noon on Tuesday.

October Book 1

catalogue published

THE catalogue for Book 1 of this year’s Tattersalls October Yearling Sale contains 502 lots. It includes 20 yearlings by Dubawi, 24 by Frankel, 43 by Kingman, 44 by Lope De Vega, 34 by Sea The Stars, and 14 by the late Galileo. All lots are eligible for the £20,000 Book 1 Bonus scheme which has paid out more than £6 million to 243 winners since 2016.

Over 4,000 in Keeneland September Sale

A TOTAL of 4,036 horses have been catalogued for the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, which runs from September 13th to 24th.

This will be the first September Sale since Tony Lacy was appointed vice president of sales and Cormac Breathnach was appointed director of sales operations.

This year’s auction will feature a new format in which horses who fail to sell in Book 1 will have a second chance to be offered at the end of that two-day session.

The second week is also being condensed to make the sale a day shorter.

Goffs UK returns to

Yorton Farm in Wales

THE Goffs UK Yorton Sale will see 50 lots offered for sale at Yorton Farm in Wales on September 9th. The catalogue will feature 38 two-year-olds and 12 yearlings which have either been bred at Yorton or sourced from throughout Europe and raised at the stud.

New online platform launched next month

THOROUGHBID, a new online auction platform, will host its first sale on Sunday, September 12th. The company was founded by Will Kinsey and Ross Alberto.

On sale day, bids will start at 10am and each lot will close in two-minute intervals from 6pm.Entries close on Friday, September 3rd and the catalogue will be available on Monday, September 6th.
