STAR mare Apple's Jade could kick off her campaign in the Lismullen Hurdle at Navan on Sunday.
The five-year-old won Grade 1 events at Aintree and Punchestown in the spring of 2016 when trained by Willie Mullins, but was one of the most high-profile horses to leave the champion trainer last autumn following a well-publicised split with Gigginstown House Stud.
She has won three of her six starts since joining Gordon Elliott, claiming the Hatton's Grace at Fairyhouse, the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham and the Mares Champion Hurdle at Punchestown.
Elliott told At The Races: "All being well that's where she'll go.
"She's in good form, she's well, but she normally comes on for her first run."
Apple's Jade's potential rivals in this Grade 2 contest, which has attracted eight entries, include Gavin Cromwell's mare Jer's Girl and the Noel Meade-trained pair of Monksland and Snow Falcon.
The other Grade 2 on the card, TheTote.com Fortria Chase, features Elliott's trio of Clarcam, Tell Us More and The Game Changer.
The Elliott-trained Samcro takes star billing in the Grade 3 For Auction Novice Hurdle, but the Cullentra handler could also call upon Mengli Khan, Morgan, Roaring Bull and Vengeful.
Willie Mullins has entered Galway scorer Stratum.
The two-mile-one-furlong beginners chase is typically strong, with Avenir D'Une Vie, Brelade and Footpad all in the mix.
