Kylemore Lough will skip the Jordan Electrics Ltd Future Champions Novices' Chase at Ayr on Saturday and wait for the Punchestown Festival.

Kerry Lee believes Ayr comes a shade too soon for the seven-year-old, who gave the Presteigne trainer her first Grade One triumph in her rookie season when lifting the Ryanair Gold Cup Novice Chase at Fairyhouse on Easter Monday.

She is saving Kylemore Lough for another Grade One contest, the Ryanair Novice Chase at Punchestown on April 28.

"He's absolutely fine, it just comes a little bit too soon," said Lee.

"It's a race we won last year with Top Gamble, so I thought I'd enter him and have a look.

"It's too soon after Fairyhouse. We will be holding fire with him for a week or two.

"The plan is to go to Punchestown."
