Stablemate Highland Reel will be outside in 12 while Sir Michael Stoute's Ulysses will be in seven with the David O'Meara-trained Mondialiste in six. Highland Reel's running style may not be inconvenienced by the wide draw. US favourite Flintshire is in stall four.

Hot favourite and Queen Anne Stakes winner Tepin will break from stall eight in her bid for a second Breeders' Cup Mile.

British challenger Dutch Connection will be in seven while Henry Candy's Limato is in 10. The Aidan O'Brien team of Alice Springs (two), Hit It A Bomb (12) and Cougar Mountain (13) did not appear to have much luck.

Again in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf, O'Brien's Seventh Heaven did not get much luck with stall three. She was slowly away in the Fillies race at British Champions Day and a repeat would give her a lot to do over two furlongs shorter. Stable companion Pretty Perfect (12) lines up alongside Sir Michael Stoute's Queen's Trust (11).

Hugo Palmer has opted to send Home Of The Brave (four) for the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint rather than the Mile.

David O' Meara's Suedois (seven) and the O'Brien-trained Washington DC (eight) also represent European interests. Last year's winner Mongolian Saturday (three) will try to retain his crown.

O'Brien's Hydrangea faces a tough task from stall one in Friday's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, while stablemate Roly Poly is out wide in the mile at the opposite side of the track in 13.

Joseph O'Brien's first runner Intricately will be in seven.

There is a strong O'Brien representation in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf through Dewhurst runner-up Lancaster Bomber (one) and Intelligence Cross (eight). Simon Crisford's Rodaini also runs from stall 12 of 14.

The two big races at the end of each day saw favourites have different fortunes. Songbird, favourite for the Distaff next Friday drew stall one, leaving Mike Smith, the winningmost Breeders Cup jockey at Santa Anita, a decision to go forward or hold back of the early pace with big rivals Stellar Wind in five and Beholder and Gary Stevens on the outside in eight.

Smith also has a decison to make early in the Breeders Cup Classic on second favourite Arrogate who drew the outside stall 10. The Bob Baffert-trained colt had made most of the running when romping to a 13 and a half length success in the Travers Stakes at Saratoga.

California Chrome and Victor Espinoza are in stall four and can afford to sit and watch what his big rivals do. Frosted in two has also run from close to the pace in his big wins.
