MOVIESTA charged to victory under a welter burden in the Racing Post Handicap at Dundalk.

Even considering jockey Robbie Downey's 3lb claim, Eddie Lynam's sprinter had to give 5lb and upwards to his rivals, but travelled sweetly and joined a line of five in the lead approaching the final furlong.

The 11/4 favourite picked up well in the closing stages, pulling clear with Go Kart and going on to beat that rival by two and three-quarter lengths.

Lynam said: "Going into today he was 14lb behind Caravaggio and, considering we will probably get 7lb for today, that shows the kind of mark he's at.

"Around here he is mustard. We only win one a year with him, and I'm hoping this year we can double it. Obviously the listed (Mercury Stakes) race here will be on his agenda.

"We have to revive that form on the turf. He hasn't done it on the turf since he won the Renaissance which is a good while ago. He was very impressive today, and I'd say when you analyse the times at the end of the day he was the only one that did a winter time. He did a good time and broke 59 (seconds).

"(Co-owner) Harry (Redknapp) loves his racing and always calls me. He's doing pre-season training at the moment, and is a lovely man to train for. (Fellow co-owner) Will (Salthouse) is the agent for Harry Kane, and I'm trying to get him up to (Manchester) United!"

ALL-THE-WAY

Six Silver Lane made it seven wins at Dundalk with an authoritative all-the-way victory in the Ladbrokes Claiming Race.

Colin Keane, who currently leads the way in the champion jockey race, was keen to make all on Johnny Feane's 6/1 chance and he appeared to be travelling much the best turning for home.

Seanie loomed briefly as a danger, but he could not get to Six Silver Lane, who pulled out more close home to score by two and three-quarter lengths.

The winning rider said: "He's best fresh and loved bowling along in front. He's won here over 10 furlongs and I thought I'd take the sting out of them. He loves it around here."

An enterprising ride from Donagh O'Connor saw Zippy get first run on his rivals and stay clear in the Ladbrokes App Handicap.

Pulling clear at the two furlong pole, the Johnny Levins-trained 4/1 favourite never looked back, beating Stamp Of Authority by a length and three-quarters.

O'Connor said: "The plan was to sit back a bit but she jumped out quick and they were not going a great gallop. I wanted to get her relaxed and into a good rhythm, and she stuck at it well.

"Things are going well, and that's my 42nd winner which leaves me just eight left with a 5lb claim. I have to thank Johnny (Levins) an awful lot as he's given me so many chances."
