Wichita return

WICHITA is expected to make a full recovery from the fractured leg the 2000 Guineas runner-up sustained during a workout while in Australia this week. T.J. Comerford, Aidan O’Brien’s travelling head man, reported the horse had come through surgery well. He said: “He’ll be fine again to race, so we’ll probably bring him back to Ireland in a few months’ time. “

Goffs Land Rover Bumper closing

ENTRIES for next year’s Goffs Land Rover Bumper will close at noon next Wednesday. The €100,000 race will be held on the opening day of the 2021 Punchestown Festival and is open to all horses offered for sale at the Goffs Land Rover Sale last August, as well as those Land Rover Sale horses offered at this year’s Goffs UK Summer Sale in Doncaster on July 27th.

Online learning

THERE is still time to book your place on one of the three online workshops being run by the ITBA in the coming weeks. The series begins on October 29th with a mental health and first aid course.
