NAAS Racecourse has commenced the second phase of its overall €3.2 million redevelopment, which is partly funded through the Horse Racing Ireland Racecourse Capital Development Scheme.
The first phase of the redevelopment was completed in January and the €1.7 million feature building, The Circle, was unveiled early this year.
The focus now moves to the main grandstand. Aside from a complete interior upgrade on each floor of the stand, there will also be additional seating areas and a café open to all racegoers on the ground floor, a dedicated members’ area on the first floor of the grandstand, and a sponsors’ lounge on the second floor.
Naas manager Tom Ryan said: “The Circle Building is very popular but we are limited with capacity, therefore it’s important to have a dedicated area for our valued sponsors and members. The development is part of the HRI Capital Development Scheme and we thank Horse Racing Ireland for their continued support. The interior upgrade commenced this week and it is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.”
