Racecourse caterer passes away
RACECOURSE caterer William O’Brien Lynch from Navan, Co Meath, has passed away. He was 76. Along with his wife Margaret, he provided catering services at Naas, Kilbeggan, Navan and Goffs. Kilbeggan manager Paddy Dunican said: “I was very saddened to hear of the news of Willie’s death and I want to convey my deepest sympathy to his wife and family. Willie was a great gentleman and a remarkable person who contributed to the racing industry through the development of their company O’Brien Lynch Catering with his wife.
Willie lived a great and interesting life and will be sadly missed. He will be fondly remembered by everybody who knew him.”

THE Galway Blazers fixture which was originally scheduled for this weekend has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 19th.
Breeders’ meeting next Tuesday
PROBLEMS facing thoroughbred breeders will be discussed at a public meeting in the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge, Co Kildare, next Tuesday at 8pm.
The meeting has been called by the Irish Farmers Association and IFA deputy president Richard Kennedy will attend. Kennedy chairs the IFA Horse Project Team and is the IFA representative on the Foal Levy Committee.
