IRISH trainers are responsible for 12 of the 16 European-trained horses who have entered quarantine ahead of travelling to Australia for the Spring Racing Carnival.

A total of 29 European horses have entered pre-export quarantine for two weeks They are due to arrive in Melbourne on Friday, October 2nd.

Upon arrival they will be required to undertake a further two-week quarantine before being permitted to race on Caulfield Cup day (Saturday, October 17th).
