Agri Careers

THERE will be plenty of equine interest at Agri Careers in the RDS, Dublin, next Thursday. A huge success when launched last year, the one-day event is open to the public and offers advice and job opportunities to those interested in working in the agricultural sector. Organised by the Irish Farmers Journal and sponsored by OpenEir, the day also includes a series of talks where professionals can impart advice to job-seekers. One session, hosted by The Irish Field’s editor Leo Powell, will be devoted to the equine industry. Further details can be found in Horse Sense on pages A46-47.

JAMES Leahy has won the Connolly’s Red Mills The Irish Field Breeder of the Month award for February. He bred Sutton Place, winner of the Grade 2 Ladbrokes Ireland Boyne Hurdle at Navan.
