Series final at Punchestown
THE €75,000 final of the Irish European Breeders’ Fund and Connolly’s Red Mills Auction Hurdle Series Final will take place on Gold Cup day at the Punchestown Festival (Wednesday, May 1st). To enter the final, horses must have run in one of the 14 qualifiers and have not won a listed race or a Grade 1, 2 or 3 race. The 10th qualifier in the series was staged at Gowran Park on Thursday.This is the first year of the series, which was designed to create opportunities for horses bought for €45,000/€30,000 or less at store sales in Ireland and the UK. The series offers €355,000 in prize-money.

OLIVER Loughlin has won the Connolly’s Red Mills The Irish Field Breeder of the Month competition for December. He bred Quick Grabim, winner of the Grade 1 Royal Bond Novices’ Hurdle at Fairyhouse.
