Alkaadhem double

A HARE Breath and The Organist provided a quality double for Ballycurragh Stud stallion Alkaadhem over the last two weekends. From the family of Kayf Tara, Alkaadhem has relatively few runners with no more than half a dozen individual horses representing him in either Ireland or England in the past three months. That small number also includes winners Jimmy Brekkie and Global Citizen.

Winner of a listed handicap hurdle at Sandown last Saturday, A Hare Breath is being aimed at the County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

Sale cancelled

THIS week’s cancelled Tattersalls Ireland Ascot Sale will not be rescheduled. Due to take place last Monday, the sale was called off due to poor weather. All applicable entry fees will be reimbursed to vendors, who have the option of transferring their original sale entry to either the February Sale in Newmarket or the next Tattersalls Ireland Ascot Sale in March.
