Gigginstown selling 42 at Doncaster

GRADE 1 winner Battleoverdoyen is one of 42 horses owned by Gigginstown House Stud entered for the Goffs UK September HIT Sale in Doncaster on Wednesday week, September 8th.

The eight-year-old gelding was a Grade 1 winner as novice hurdler and novice chaser. He looked a Gold Cup contender when successful in a Grade 2 chase at Down Royal in late 2019 but lost his form afterwards. However, he won his latest start at the Galway Festival.

Gigginstown has traditionally sent a draft to the Goffs UK September Sale but this year’s consignment is slightly bigger than in recent years, reflecting owner Michael O’Leary’s continuing reduction of his racing interests.

The Gigginstown draft will also offer Grade 2 winners Cracking Smart, Dounikos, Eclair De Beaufeu and Mortal, as well as recent winners and stakes performers Asserted, Choungaya, Forged In Fire, Lignou, Star Max and The Very Man.
