MINDING has suffered a setback that will rule her out of action for most of the summer.

The brilliant filly was a hot favourite to win an eighth Group 1 in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh on Sunday but plans are now on hold. Her trainer Aidan O’Brien is hoping to have her back on the track by the end of August.

In her absence Sunday’s race is a much more open affair with six of the eight runners priced at 10/1 or less. Deauville heads the betting at 3/1, followed by Moonlight Magic (7/2), Decorated Knight (9/2), Somehow (5/1) and Success Days (6/1).
