Trainer Brendan Powell and former jockey Graham Bradley have been cleared of a charge that Bradley trained horses under Powell’s name. Bradley, who was once banned from racing for five years for passing on inside information for reward, has applied for a trainer’s licence but it has not been granted by the British Horseracing Authority.

YITBA seminar

The Young Irish Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association is hosting an evening seminar on foal preparation and pinhooking next Thursday (November 6th) at 7pm in ITBA office in Kill, Co Kildare. Mullins targets Paddy Power

There are seven Irish-trained entries for the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham on Saturday, November 15th. They include a quartet from Willie Mullins – Champagne Fever, Ballycasey, Felix Yonger and The Paparrazi Kid. Last year’s winner Johns Spirit is among the 45 entries for the handicap chase and the early ante-post favourites are Oscar Whisky and Present View (both 7/1).

New date for Roscommon PTP

The Co Roscommon point-to-point, originally scheduled for this weekend, has been rescheduled to Saturday, November 29th.
