The 27-year-old was enjoying his first international Grand Prix win on Paul Strafford’s Value T.

From 39 starters, only nine combinations made it through to the jump-off, with Condon clocking the fastest of six double clears in 41.08 seconds. That was enough to see off the French combination Julien Epaillard and Cristallo A LM, who were clear in 41.37.

Condon also claimed a fourth place with Value T (by Calvados) earlier in the week in a1.45m two-phase when clear in 30.51. Brazil’s Marlon Zanotelli (Nenuphar’Jac) won in 28.69.

Gavin Harley also got his name on the board in a silver tour class, partnering Mc Veigh into fifth place in a 1.40m jump-off with four faults against the clock in 46.86. Noway’s Therese Henriksen (For Yougsters) won in 44.83.

Condon and Harley also featured prominently in the young horse classes. In the final five-year-old class of week two, a 1.20m speed class, Condon was third on John Hales’ Zira II (By Zurich) with a clear in 74.50.

Harley was over a second behind in fourth on Amandine Wittouck’s Vendetta Treize (by Diamant De Semilly) in 75.84, while Condon was also eighth on Arla (by Arko III) with four faults in 74.93. The class was won by Belgium’s Constant van Paesschen on Verdi Treize in 71.53.

In the previous day’s 1.20m two-phase, Harley (Vendette Treize) was third with four faults in 46.27, while Condon was fourth and fifth with four faults Zira II and Arla respectively. Britain’s Chloe Aston (Jalisca Van De Heide) won with four faults in 41.99.

In the opening five-year-old class, the Harley (Vendette Treize) and Condon (Zira II and Arla) jumped clears to share the honours with three others.

Meanwhile, in the final six-year-old class, a 1.30m speed class, Harley was third on Cap Diamond D’Hoften Bos (by Diamant De Semilly) with a clear in 72.95. Condon was fourth on Valavivendi (by Ars Vendi) in 76.08, while he was also sixth on D Hollingwoods Rusty Ryan (by London Times) with one time fault. Four faults in 77.43 left Harley and Cabriella Van De Kapel in 11th.

The class was won by Lithuania’s Petrovas Andrius on Davino O in 64.42.

In the following day’s 1.30m two-phase, Harley and Cabriella Van De Kapel were clear in 40.41 for fourth place behind Mexico’s Santiago Lambre (Dalvinos) in 35.44. The Irish combination had clocked up five faults in the first of the six-year-old classes last week, while Condon had one time fault on Valavivendi to share eighth place.
