weatherby GUIDE TO FOAL REGISTRATION

  • Ensure your mare is named, registered as a broodmare, is in the correct ownership and all travel movements are fully up to date
  • Blood sample, mark and microchip your foal as early as possible
  • Complete your foal registration form and return it to Weatherbys Ireland
  • Return the official covering certificate or ensure an electronic certificate has been lodged by the stallion owner with Weatherbys
  • Return the correct registration fee and statutory foal levy if applicable

    • Registrations received at Weatherbys Ireland after July 31st in their year of birth will attract a higher fee. Weatherbys strongly recommend you register your foal well before July 31st.

    If you have any difficulties meeting the registration requirements, you should contact the foal registration team as soon as possible.
