Horses for Courses
HORSES for Courses is back by popular demand for spring 2020. This six-week evening course runs from Monday, February 10th to Monday, March 16th 2020 from 7.30pm-9.30pm in the Talbot Hotel, Stillorgan, Dublin.
This course gives you the opportunity to learn everything there is to know about the horse racing industry with topics covering breeders, trainers, owners, jockeys, racegoers, betting, racecourse management, the role of Horse Racing Ireland, the role of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board, racing media, sponsorship, racing fashion and much more.
Lecturers include Brian Kavanagh, CEO, Horse Racing Ireland; Denis Egan, CEO, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board; Henry de Bromhead, National Hunt trainer; Keith Rowe, director R.A.C.E.; Charles O’Neill CEO, Irish Thoroughbred Marketing; Pat Keogh, manager of the Curragh Racecourse; Donn McClean, betting expert and racing journalist; Leo Powell, editor, The Irish Field; and well-known jockeys and trainers.
The course includes six weeks of lectures on all aspects of horseracing, a trip to the world-renowned Irish National Stud and Gardens, a free day at the races, tips for Cheltenham 2020 and weekly draws for racing spot prizes.
Admission fee: Early bird ticket - €155.00. Offer ends January 18th 2020. General admission: €185.00 from January 18th January 2020 to February 10th 2020 (Booking fee and taxes are extra).
