Against all odds
BRITISH event rider Harry Meade has won the Britain’s Event Riders Association’s Riders’ Choice Award and the Shearwater Against All Odds Award.
Meade returned to competitive riding earlier this year following a crashing fall in 2013 in which he shattered both his elbows. He finished third at an extremely tough Badminton in May and claimed a team silver medal at the World Equestrian Games but sadly his mount on both occasions, Wild Lone, collapsed and died after completing the Normandy cross-country phase.
