DARN Hot Gallop, a winning three-year-old filly by Too Darn Hot, topped this week’s Tattersalls Online Sale when bought by Indian breeder Tegbir Singh Brar of Darmesh Stud for 49,000gns.

Consigned by trainer James Tate on behalf owner Jaber Abdullah, the lightly-raced filly has already recorded three wins from only eight starts, including winning a Class 4 handicap over a mile at Newmarket in the spring. She is a half-sister to Group 3 winner and Group 2-placed Agave.

The next top lot in the sale was six-time winner He’s A Monster who realised 32,000gns to GS Racing Dubai and was one of two lots offered on behalf of Wathnan Racing from Hamad Al Jehani’s Kremlin House Stables. He was joined by Group 3 winner The Strikin Viking who also found favour at 25,000gns when purchased by Dare To Dream Racing.

There was strong competition for debut winner Kissmehoneyhoney, consigned by William Haggas’ Somerville Lodge, who was knocked down for 30,000gns to Jake Coulson Racing. Out of listed winner and Grade 1-placed hurdler Buildmeupbuttercup, the daughter of Crystal Ocean recently finished runner-up in a Class 3 novice at Hamilton.

Where’s My Jet, winner of two hurdle races for trainer Willie Mullins in 2024, sold for 13,500gns to bloodstock agent Jerry McGrath. The same buyer signed for the Mullins-trained Kai Lung for only 7,000gns. Stable companion Soir De Garde, a winner over fences this summer and placed third in a Grade 3 chase at the Galway Festival, sold for 11,000gns to Springfield. The Mullins-trained Highwind fetched 8,000gns. Jessica Harrington sold Sea Coral, a Galiway filly who won a Bewllewstown flat maiden last year, for 10,500gns to JC Racing.

A breeding right to first season sire Baaeed failed to sell, bidding reaching 310,000gns. Baaeed’s stud fee was £55,000 this year. However, a breeding right to leading second season sire Space Blues sold for the bargain price of 20,000gns to Foster Bloodstock. Standing at Kildangan Stud, Space Blues stood at €15,000 this year. The sale realised a turnover of 529,000gns for 76 lots sold at an average price of 6,961gns.
