FOLLOWING the addition of entries from last weekend’s action under rules and between the flags, Tattersalls Cheltenham confirmed a final catalogue of 30 lots to sell after racing today (Saturday), January 24th.

Nightflyer is the latest entry, offered by Roger Marley’s Church Farm Stables, following his debut win in a junior bumper at Catterick on Wednesday. Trained by Adrian Keatley, the Amaron four-year-old is a full-brother to a Grade 2-placed hurdler, and hails from the fine German family of Night Magic.

Mortal Coil is the only other four-year-old debut winner catalogued, with Tom Weston’s charge having made all in an Exeter bumper earlier this month. The son of Affinisea shares his page with Ballyoptic, Tintangle and Tombstone.

John Dawson’s five-year-old Capricciose, a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Davids Charm, built on a promising debut to win a mares’ bumper at Carlisle last month. Nick Schofield consigns Jet Away five-year-old Otie’s Friend, who entered the notebook with a debut second in a Huntingdon bumper last month.

Tom Ellis and Gina Andrews’ G&T Racing offer two here, including debut winner Azlad, a Linda’s Lad gelding from the family of Marcel, Royal Rendezvous and Vieux Lion Rouge.

In-form consignor

Two smart five-year-old winners feature in Robert Tector’s consignment, including Doubleosue, a home-bred who won on debut at Tinahely. Stablemate Phantom Of Delight, a full-sister to Ms Parfois, obliged at Ballindenisk that same day.

Jonathan Fogarty is another with three lots catalogued, led by impressive debut winner Golden Current. The Golden Horn gelding eased 12 lengths clear in a four-year-old maiden at Dromahane at the end of last month.

Dinner Dance’s successful start at Aghabullogue was enhanced by the fact that the well-related five-year-old was the sole newcomer in the field.

Willow Tide fell three out when sent off favourite on debut, but the Aidan Fitzgerald-trained son of Crystal Ocean made amends at Carrigarostig next time out, recording the fastest time on the card.

Dream On Mick also clocked the fastest time at Tinahely, where Kieran Roche’s five-year-old made his second start a winning one. Joe Hill’s five-year-old Barito was another to strike on his second attempt, the Manatee gelding scoring at Sheriff Hutton, with runner-up Slay Girl also catalogued.
