HIGHLY-rated chasers Mars Harper and Tullybeg are among 13 horses entered by Gordon Elliott in the Thoroughbid October Sale, which gets underway on Friday, October 24th.

Mars Harper, a five-time winner and Grade 2-placed, is offered with an entry into the valuable Grand Sefton Chase next month.

Mayo National victor Tullybeg has an impressive nine career wins to his name and was placed over hurdles on his penultimate start.

Their four-year-old stablemate Eternal Echo placed in a listed bumper before winning on hurdle debut earlier this year.

Commenting on the consignment, Elliott said: “Mars Harper is a real fun horse with plenty of experience and a decent rating who is well capable of competing at all the big festivals.

“Another entry we have in here is Tullybeg, who has been a great servant for us. He is a great jumper and a very straightforward horse who still has plenty of fun days and options ahead of him.”

Tom Ellis’ sole offering is Tony Joe, a Westerner half-brother to Ahoy Senor. The five-year-old made a winning stable debut in a bumper last week.

The Henry de Bromhead-trained Marv Michael has progressed over fences, winning two chases by a combined 19 lengths and finished fifth in the Midlands National this summer.

Broodmares catalogued include Resplendent Rose, a half-sister to Grade 1-winning hurdler Mr Adjudicator, offered in foal to dual Group 1 winner Mogul. Coolagown Stud offer a half-sister to Grade 3 scorer Shantreusse, in foal to Way To Paris, along with a half-sister to Garswood, in foal to Dubai Mile.
