A SHARE in leading sire Siyouni headlines the catalogue for the Tattersalls Online December Sale, for which bidding opens on December 10th and closes on December 11th. The successful buyer of the share will receive one nomination to the stallion in 2026, two nominations in 2027 and in every other year thereafter.
The Haras de Bonneval resident will command €150,000 in 2026, following a year in which he sired 19 group performers in the Northern Hemisphere, matching his previous best. Zarigana was the highlight of the year, gaining Group 1 success in the French 1000 Guineas. Beaten a nose in the Prix Marcel Boussac as a juvenile, the Aga Khan home-bred gained further Group 1 blacktype when finishing second in both the Coronation Stakes and Prix de la Foret.
Stablemate Narissa led the juveniles, with the daughter of Siyouni placing in three group races, including the Prix Marcel Boussac won by a granddaughter of Siyouni. Zavateri became the first Group 1 winner bred out of a Siyouni mare when he denied Gstaad in the Vincent O’Brien National Stakes.
Siyouni’s yearlings sold for up to €1.25 million and averaged €265,707 in 2025, while a Siyouni colt sold for €1 million at the Arqana Breeze-Up Sale earlier this year. A breeding right to Palace Pier topped the Tattersalls Online November Sale and another will be offered next week. The top-class son of Kingman will remain at £32,000 at Dalham Hall Stud next season, following a promising start by his first crop in 2025.
Lowther Stakes winner Royal Fixation, who finished third in the Cheveley Park Stakes, was one of three group winners and eight stakes horses by Palace Pier. His latest yearlings sold for up to 550,000gns and averaged £94,241, while his foals reached up to €220,000 and averaged £66,169.
Also featured in the 132-lot catalogue are breeding rights to A’Ali, El Caballo, Lope Y Fernandez, Sergei Prokofiev and Space Blues, as well as a stallion share in Yeomanstown Stud’s Supremacy.
Racing and breeding prospects
The horses in training catalogued include Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore’s Grade 2-placed hurdler Bold Light. Stuart Crawford offers Largy Rose, a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Largy Hill, following her debut second at Kirkistown. Craig Kileff’s offering, the Court Cave gelding Fane Court, also won his second start on the same card.
