AMERICAN Belle looks set to reward her owners with a significant profit, as the half-sister to Ombudsman will be offered in next week’s Tattersalls Online September Sale.

BBP Racing gave 24,000gns for the dual winner in December 2023, when Ombudsman was an unraced two-year-old who had fetched 340,000gns as a yearling.

Four Group 1 wins later, Mount Farm Stud will offer his Starspangledbanner half-sister in foal to Lead Artist, with a Massaat yearling to run for her and a Modern Games colt foal aimed at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale.

She is one of 31 broodmares in the 150-lot catalogue, along with Sirya Star, a Raven’s Pass half-sister to dual group winner and French 2000 Guineas runner-up Isaac Shelby.

The Rathbran House Stud-consigned chesnut is offered in foal to Bayside Boy, which will be closely related to her New Bay yearling filly who fetched £85,000 last month. Elevage des Trois Rivieres offer another well-related mare in foal to an in-form sire; Summer Breeze is a winning daughter of Siyoushake, twice a Group 3 winner and twice Group 1-placed. She carries a maiden cover to Sioux Nation.

Cristielle has produced two winners from two runners and is presented by Blue Diamond Stud in foal to exciting young sire Vandeek. The daughter of Australia is a half-sister to dual group scorer Aljazzi, out of a listed winner from the family of Zafeen.

Annaca Bloodstock’s Sea Sessions is also out of a blacktype mare and furthermore, won a listed hurdle herself. The well-related eight-year-old is in foal to Los Angeles.

Horses in and out of training make up much of the catalogue, with 15 consigned by Baroda Stud on behalf of Ace Stud, including Jessica Harrington’s 92-rated juvenile Full Volume. Diego Dias offers another smart juvenile in Waysong, a Persian Force gelding who won a six-furlong barrier trial at Leopardstown last month.

John and Jodi O’Donoghue’s juvenile filly Eastern Queen and Gordon Elliott’s maiden hurdle winner Be My Fortune are among 10 lots who won last time out. Success looks imminent for Stuart Crawford’s Poet’s Word gelding Bellahill, who was beaten a neck on rules debut last month, as well as Andrew Kiniron’s Capri four-year-old Tiger In New York, who finished third in a mares’ bumper on debut at Cork.

Seven yearlings, two foals, one store and breeding rights to Caturra, Lope Y Fernandez, Palace Pier and Victor Ludorum complete the catalogue. Bidding gets underway at 11am on Tuesday, September 15th and begins to close from 11am the following day.
