BLACKTYPE performers from Joseph O’Brien and Willie Mullins are among 85 lots catalogued in the Tattersalls Online May Sale, for which bidding opens at 11am on Wednesday, May 6th and begins to close 24 hours later.

The sole entry from O’Brien’s Carriganog Racing is four-year-old Siyouni gelding Saracen, who placed in last year’s Greenham Stakes, but has since dropped to a rating of 99.

Hipop De Loire has also lost his way over hurdles this season, but the Willie Mullins-trained nine-year-old ran well in defeat on the flat last year, finishing third in the Doncaster Cup and sixth in the Ebor Handicap.

Previously successful at listed level in Germany, the American Post gelding is qualified for French owners’ premiums, as is stablemate Plontier, who was listed-placed on the flat.

Fellow Closutton entry Looking For Eight, a Muhtathir brother to Sortudo, has placed on both his starts in bumpers, having been well-supported in the market each time.

James Tate’s five entries include the 83-rated Dandy Man filly Daneh Of Dandy, who was beaten a length and a half in a listed contest last season. Her 82-rated sprinting stablemate Stanley Spencer is also expected to be popular, coming off the back of a fine second.

Al Shaqab Racing have entered two fillies from France and one from the UK, including a Mehmas filly out of listed winner and Park Hill Stakes second Aljezeera. Their Starspangledbanner filly out of a blacktype mare, herself out of a dual Grade 1 winner.

The Michael Bell-trained Miss Malone To You is a Ulysses half-sister to Ascot Gold Cup hero Big Orange, out of a half-sister to Military Attack.

The catalogue, which also features broodmares, point-to-pointers, stores and a breeding right to Ardad, can be viewed online.
