LEXINGTON is the place to be at the moment – not just for the Breeders’ Cup, but also for the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale, which gets underway on Tuesday, November 3rd and will run until November 11th.

Twelve months ago, the sale produced the highest figures seen since 2007, with 1,986 lots generating sales of $246,042,400. The catalogue has grown by approximately 10% this year, with 3,409 lots due to go under the hammer across nine sessions.

The catalogue features a nine-lot dispersal of the late Aaron and Marie Jones LLC, breeders of Ashado, Speightstown, Ted Noffey and Drosselmeyer, among others.

The sale also offers the first chance to buy mares in foal to Mystik Dan, Citizen Bull, Fierceness, Sierra Leone and Straight No Chaser, as well as the first foals by Preakness Stakes victor Seize The Grey, Belmont Stakes winner Dornoch and champion National Treasure.

The opening session, Book 1, will begin at 1pm on Tuesday, while the following four ‘books’ and eight sessions will all begin at 10am. The November Horses of Racing Age Sale follows from 12pm on Thursday, November 12th, with 130 lots catalogued.
