TATTERSALLS Online have revealed 33 initial entries for the upcoming Breeze Up Session. Two-year-olds will breeze at Dundalk Stadium from 10:30am on Wednesday, May 28th and will be offered for sale the following week, via the Tattersalls Online June Sale on June 4th and 5th.

Last year’s sale saw 37 breeze-up horses offered, 16 of which sold for an average price of €11,050 and median price of €9,500. The prices marked an improvement from the inaugural edition and produced the best graduate yet in Fiona Maccoul, who topped last year’s trade when sold by Beresford Stables for €27,000.

Four months later, Jack Cantillon’s purchase bagged first prize of €72,000 for Syndicates Racing and Jessica Harrington in the Irish EBF Auction Series Race Final. Her sire, Coulsty, accounts for four of next week’s initial entries, with other sires including Ardad, Awtaad, Cotai Glory, Kameko, Kodi Bear, Saxon Warrior and Starspangledbanner.

The sole lot by exciting freshman sire Starman will be offered by Silky Thoroughbreds and is a half-brother to the 111-rated Make It Up, as well as the dam of Group 3 scorer Create Belief. Fellow Tally-Ho Stud sire Cotai Glory accounts for three lots, including a half-sister to Group 2 third Big Boots, from Kildallan Farm.

M.C. Thoroughbred’s Maclean’s Music filly appeals on paper, being a half-sister to a stakes horses and out of a blacktype El Prado mare. Their other offering is a Cotai Glory colt with Grade 1 heroine Caffe Latte as his granddam.

Ballycullen Stables offer another well-related type; an Ardad filly out of a listed winner. Bushypark Stables’ sole entry is by promising young sire Mohaather and is a half-brother to Gazeley, who made a winning debut at Goodwood before being sold to Hong Kong.

Other leading consignors supporting the sale include Ardglas Stables, Hyde Park Stud, Kilbrew Stables, Leamore Horses and Meadowview Stables.
