THE catalogue for the Arqana August Yearling Sale at Deauville was released this week.
It contains details of 307 yearlings who will be offered for sale between Saturday, August 16th and Monday, August 18th.
Established sires with progeny catalogued include Australia, Blue Point, Camelot, Dark Angel, Dubawi, Frankel, Galiway, Havana Grey, Invincible Spirit, Kingman, Kodiac, Lope De Vega, Mehmas, New Bay, Night Of Thunder, No Nay Never, Sea The Stars, Siyouni, Sioux Nation, Starspangledbanner, Too Darn Hot, Wootton Bassett and Zarak.
American-based stallions with yearlings on offer include American Pharoah, Bolt d’Oro, Justify, Medaglia d’Oro and Not This Time.
The catalogue also features lots from the first crops of Baaeed, Bayside Boy, Blackbeard, Naval Crown, Sealiway, State Of Rest, Thunder Moon and Torquator Tasso, as well as the promising young stallions Earthlight, Ghaiyyath, Hello Youmzain, Kameko, Palace Pier, Persian King, Pinatubo, Space Blues, St Mark’s Basilica, Starman and Victor Ludorum.
Notable lots include a son of St Mark’s Basilica, a half-brother to Coventry Stakes winner Rashabar. There is a son of Dubawi out of group race scorer Babylone.
There’s also a half-brother by Wootton Bassett to Group 1 winner Aspetar, and a son of New Bay who is a half-brother to Group winner 1 Zagrey.
Two by Kingman catch the eye - a filly from the family of Calyx, African Rose and Native Trail, and a half-brother to Group 1 winner Pearls Galore.
The Baaeed half-brother to triple group race winner Maranoa Charlie will be worth inspecting, as will the son of Siyouni out of Cheveley Park Stakes winner Lightening Pearl.
There’s a first foal by Frankel out of the classic winner Mangoustine, and a filly by Night Of Thunder out of Prudenzia, from the family of Chicquita and Magic Wand.
Another to note is the daughter of Zarak out of dual Group 1 winner Watch Me.
