THE catalogue for the 2025 Goffs December National Hunt Sale runs to 814 lots, a considerable increase on the 756 listed last year.

There are 745 foals in the catalogue, backed up by 58 fillies and mares. The sale starts with a draft of 11 yearlings and store horses.

Foals by Walk In The Park out of Grade 2 winning dams Grangee (Lot 295), Love Envoi (Lot 422) and Scarlet And Dove (Lot 615) are also among the standouts.

Other blacktype mares with foals to sell include Grade 2 winner Anythingforlove (Lot 43), herself a sister to the dam of Gold Cup hero Sizing John, Grade 3 winner Kilbarry Chloe (Lot 361), and listed bumper winners Doran’s Weir (Lot 199) and Urban Artist (Lot 721).

Mullins mares

The mares catalogued are headed by a draft from Willie Mullins’ yard which features dual Grade 2 winner Allegorie De Vassy (Lot 769) and Grade 1 winner Brandy Love (Lot 768), who are both in foal to the late Jukebox Jury, as well as the Grade 1-placed Lady Vega Allen (Lot 767).

Further highlights include Deuce Again (Lot 774), the dam of Golden Ace, who is carrying an own-sibling to the 2025 Champion Hurdler.

Grade 2 winner Annie Mc (Lot 762), Grade 3 chaser Jumping Jet (Lot 775), and Grade 3 winner Familiar Dreams (Lot 785) will also be offered, as will an own-sister to Aintree Grand National winner Nick Rockett (Lot 792) and sisters to Stage Star (Lot 771), Croke Park (Lot 795), Outlander (Lot 798), Cabaret Queen (Lot 801) and more.

Goffs CEO Henry Beeby said: “The success of the Goffs December National Hunt Sale is one of our proudest achievements as a team, and it is all thanks to the support of so many vendors who have made Goffs their first choice for NH foals and mares of quality, and for that we are enormously grateful. Indeed, the sale has bucked the trend this year by attracting a significantly larger number of entries than 12 months ago, particularly the foals, which have grown from 678 in 2024 to 745.

“The catalogue boasts strength and depth throughout, and our proven format sees the foals placed alphabetically by dam across the three days. Goffs December is also now firmly established as the premier destination for elite NH breeding stock, and we have another mouthwatering selection to offer this year.”

Graduates of the December National Hunt Sale were headed this year by Lecky Watson, winner of the Grade 1 Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, while the pinhooking success stories were led by the €230,000 top lot at this year’s Arkle Sale, originally sourced as a foal at Goffs December for €110,000 by the Frisby family’s Glenwood Stables.

The sale will commence at 10am each day.
