COOLMORE Stud is selling a near 80-acre farm it owns in Co Kildare.
The Clonshanbo property in Donadea was bought by Coolmore in 2015 and, having been developed and improved by Coolmore, has been placed on the market with a guide price of just under €1.5 million.
The 78.3 acre site is said to be “of good quality free-draining soil, has been well maintained” and is split into four well-sized divisions. The land is currently in tillage and could be used for most agricultural or equestrian purposes.
Coonan Property says the farm has the benefit of good road frontage onto a secondary road with one access point with double gates suitable for accommodating large machinery. There is a short internal road giving good access to the back section of the farm for ease of management.
The lands are stud rail-fenced in part and have good mature hedging to the balance of the boundary with frontage to two small rivers on the eastern boundary.
Will Coonan commented: “Coolmore purchased the property in late 2015 and has developed the holding into a first-class farm over the last 10 years, with investment in land improvement and the overall presentation.
“The property is now presented in excellent condition and offers a high-quality agricultural holding in a prime location.”
He said that demand for good-quality agricultural land in the north Kildare area continues to grow, driven by its strong farming tradition and proximity to key transport links, and he expects strong interest in this farm from a wide range of buyers.
The property is close to Kilcock (7.5km), Clane (8km) and Maynooth (10km). Nearby farms include Loughtown Stud, Derrinstown Stud, Kilnamoragh Stud, Cottage Stud and Damastown Stud.
The property is offered for sale by private treaty with an asking price in excess of €1,475,000.
