FOR the second year running, the Arqana Breeze Up Sale will be staged at the Goffs UK sales complex in Doncaster next week.

Over 80% of the horses catalogued are based in Ireland and, with ongoing travel restrictions making it difficult for Irish people to get in and out of France, it made sense to move the sale from Deauville to Doncaster.

The horses will breeze from midday on Wednesday (May 26th) and will be offered for sale from 11am on Friday (May 28th). All horses will be on-site and, with Covid-19 restrictions easing in Britain, those interested in attending should contact Goffs UK for more information on access.

There will also be facilities to bid by phone or online.

Arqana president Eric Hoyeau said: “First of all, we would like to acknowledge the flexibility and understanding of all our vendors in this situation. We were looking forward to a return of the Breeze Up to Deauville but, in the current context and after having looked at all the possible solutions, the organisation of the sale at Doncaster will be much simpler for a large majority of them.

“We would also like to thank Goffs, whose entire UK team has adapted to accommodate our sale. As with last year, we will do everything possible to welcome everyone in the best possible conditions.”
