A SON of Monsun has become available for breeders in the Midlands with the arrival at Tim Carey’s Tullaghansleek Stud near Castletown Geoghegan of the Juddmonte Farms-bred Retirement Plan.
The five-year-old, who is described as a smashing-looking, quality dark bay or brown horse, won three times in nine starts, landing the two-mile Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup Stayers’ Handicap at Ascot in August 2014 following victories the previous year at Doncaster and Goodwood.
Retirement Plan is out of the Dansili mare Passage Of Time who won five races in Britain and France including the Criterium de Saint-Cloud (Group 1) and the Musidora Stakes (Group 3). She was also placed four times including in three Group/Grade 1 races. She is an own-sister to the King Edward VII Stakes (Group 2) winner Father Time and a half-sister to the Zamindar mare Timepiece whose six victories included the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes.
Time Test, a three-year-old Dubawi colt out of Passage Of Time, won four races this year for his breeder including the Tercentenary Stakes (Group 3) at Royal Ascot and the Shadwell Joel Stakes (Group 2) at Newmarket in late September.
