DROMONA House, Eddie and Zoe Hales’ renowned National Hunt nursery on 32 acres in Dundrum, Co Tipperary, is for sale by public auction by Maher Auctioneers, Cashel, Co Tipperary, on October 4th.
Many well-known horses have come from this yard. The first of those is J.P. McManus’ Cheltenham legend Spot Thedifference who Eddie bought in 1996. Then there was Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Don Cossack and multiple Grade 1 winner Quito De La Roque, among others.
Eddie has decided on a change of tack in his career. In his own words: “No doom no gloom, I had a great time training.”

The equestrian facilities include two gallops, a six-horse walker, a large outdoor sand arena as well as over 30 stables. There is a self-catering three bedroom apartment off the courtyard.
