THERE is good jump racing to come at Ayr, Sandown and, not least, Punchestown before the current campaign is behind us, but it will be a tall order for any horse at those meetings to better the performance of Don Cossack at Aintree’s Grand National meeting in time terms.

That may seem a bold statement, especially when Don Cossack’s win in the Melling Chase came in one of only two races over the Mildmay fences on the day.
