CAUSE Of Causes, whose pedigree was reviewed here last week, is a Cheltenham Festival winner and half-brother to a Derby hero, just as is the long-retired brilliant multiple champion hurdle star Istabraq.

Windsor Park, who won the Grade 1 Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle (registered at Baring Bingham Novices’ Hurdle) on day two of the Festival cannot make that claim but his sire won the Derby at Epsom and his dam’s full-brother was a Grade 1 Kentucky Derby champion.
