AFTER a short stint under Paddy O’Donnell, the 14-year-old gelding Louis D’Or has been sold to the Hughes Kennedy family and will be competed by Seamus Hughes Kennedy. Owned by Maeve Al-Aidarous, the Landcapitol gelding out of the Grannus-sired mare Gina returned to Grand Prix jumping having previously been campaigned by Olive Clarke and Henriette Andersen (GBR) in 2014. Under O’Donnell’s command since October, the duo clocked up some impressive results, including second in the Wexford Allianz Autumn Grand Prix and a win in Cavan’s CSI1* Table A. O’Donnell: “I am delighted that Louis D’Or will be campaigned by Seamus and I have no doubt that they will have great success together. He is a lovely horse and they are a very good match.”
