THE spring season’s loss should be the autumn campaign’s gain following the cancellation early this week of tomorrow’s scheduled East Clare Harriers’ meeting at Killaloe and the Limerick Foxhounds’ fixture at Kilmallock on Sunday, April 9th.

The ground at Killaloe was waterlogged and, in consultation with the landowner, the decision to cancel the meeting was made at a meeting on Monday night. Even if the land had dried out by raceday, too much damage would have been inflicted upon it by machinery so the hunt now hopes to apply for an autumn date.
