WHILE there will be plenty of media attention focused next weekend on racing at Leopardstown and the Curragh, where the third Irish Champions Weekend will be held, down in Kerry they will be starting a week-long celebration of racing that is celebrating its 158th anniversary.

The Harvest Racing Festival, and there is a big clue in the name, kicks off at Listowel on Sunday, September 11th and runs for seven consecutive days. Crowds will flock to the picturesque track in search of winners and the mixed cards will have something for everyone.
