Coneygree, Djakadam and Road To Riches - first, second and third in last season’s Cheltenham Gold Cup - could line up in the €150,000 Lexus Chase. Don Cossack and Vautour are also entered but understood to be heading to Kempton for the King George.

Also among the 26 entries are Many Clouds who won the Aintree Grand National in April and Shutthefrontdoor who landed the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse in 2014.

Martello Tower, Thousand Stars, Alpha Des Obeaux and the Dan Skelton-trained Baradari feature among the entries for the €85,000 Squared Financial Christmas Hurdle and of the 34 horses in the €85,000 Neville Hotels Novice Chase, No More Heroes and Monksland, first and second in the Grade 1 Bar One Racing Drinmore Novice Chase at Fairyhouse on Sunday, More Of That and Outlander catch the eye.

Also released today were the 73 entries for the Paddy Power Handicap Chase for which the Enda Bolger-trained Gilgamboa has been allotted top-weight of 11st 10lbs. Other notable entries for the €190,000 event include Rule The World, First Lieutenant, Grand Jesture, Lord Scoundrel, Cause Of Causes, Jacksonslady, Urano, Heathfield, Empire Of Dirt, Rossvoss and Malt Gem.

GRADE 1 RACING POST NOVICE CHASE

So impressive on his chasing debut at Navan, the mighty Douvan tops the entries for the €90,000 Grade 1 Racing Post Novice Chase on the opening day of the Leopardstown Christmas Festival.

His trainer, Willie Mullins is responsible for six of the 18 entries and he has also put Shaneshill, successful on his first run over fences at Thurles last week, in the race.

Henry de Bromhead has entered both Sizing Codelco, a winner at the Listowel Festival, and Sizing John who was most impressive when landing the Grade 2 Craddockstown Novice Chase at Punchestown recently. Gordon Elliott won the race last year with Clarcam and he has entered Lord Scoundrel who chased Sizing John home on that occasion.

Other notable entries include Jessica Harrington’s all-the-way Thurles winner Ttebbob, Velvet Maker, who looked so good when winning for Alan Fleming at Naas and the Edward O'Grady-trained Kitten Rock who won many admirers when scoring at Navan.

GRADE 1 PADDY POWER DIAL-A-BET CHASE

Henry de Bromhead looks to hold a strong hand in the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase on the second day of the Leopardstown Christmas festival. He has entered four horses, including Special Tiara, who ran third in the Queen Mother Chase at the Cheltenham Festival and went on to win the Grade 1 A.P. McCoy Celebration Chase at Sandown in April.

The first four horses from last year’s race are all entered again, with the winner Twinlight leading the way for Willie Mullins. Hidden Cyclone ran second last year and he comes here on the back of a clear-cut success in the Grade 2 thetote.com Fortria Chase at Navan.

The Nicky Richards-trained Simply Ned was third 12 months ago and is one of three English-trained

entries, the others being Paul Nicholls’ Mr Mole and Dan Skelton’s Savello. Flemenstar, now in the care of Anthony Curran is another interesting entry as is the Sandra Hughes-trained The Tullow Tank who was a fast-finishing second behind Gilgamboa in the Grade 1 Ryanair Gold Cup Novice Chase when last seen at Fairyhouse in April.

GRADE 1 PADDY POWER FUTURE CHAMPIONS NOVICE HURDLE

With 14 of the 32 entries, Willie Mullins dominates the entries for the €85,000 Grade 1 Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle. His entry is one less than the number of horses he put in the race last year and his team this time around includes Long Dog and Bachasson, who fought out the finish to the Grade 1 Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday, the recent Cork winners Bellshill and Bleu Et Rouge and last week’s Thurles scorer Petit Mouchoir.

Silver Concorde, Vigil and Timiyan have been entered by Dermot Weld while Noel Meade has also put a trio in the race headed by his runaway Naas winner Disko. Tombstone, a winner at Fairyhouse on Saturday, and Tycoon Prince have been entered by Gordon Elliott while Christy Roche can choose between his Grade 2 Navan winner Falcon Crest and Chesterfieldavenue who made a winning debut at Naas early last month.

Woodland Opera made an impressive start to his hurdling career when winning at Navan recently and he is Jessica Harrington’s sole entry while Henry de Bromhead, responsible for last year’s winner Sizing John, has engaged both Hurry Henry and Three Stars who looked much improved when taking the Grade 3 For Auction Novice Hurdle at Navan.

GRADE 1 SQUARED FINANCIAL CHRISTMAS HURDLE

The Willie Mullins-trained Arctic Fire, who came from well off the pace to make a winning return to action in the Grade 2 Lismullen Hurdle at Navan and followed up with a clear-cut success in the Grade 1 Hatton’s Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse, heads an entry of 19 for the €85,000 Grade 1 Squared Financial Christmas Hurdle.

He is one of five entries the champion trainer has made for the race with Thousand Stars, a last gasp winner of the Grade 1 Grand Prix d’Automne at Auteuil last month and Sir Des Champs, who returned from a near two year absence to win at Thurles recently, also engaged.

Gordon Elliott has put three horses in the race. Tiger Roll, winner of the Triumph Hurdle in 2014, could be joined by recent Navan winner Prince Of Scars and the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle fourth, Taglietelle. Mags Mullins has entered her Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle winner Martello Tower and his owner Barry Connell could also be represented in the race by Gwencily Berbas, third in the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle, and The Tullow Tank, both trained by Alan Fleming. Hidden Cyclone, a recent winner over fences, has been entered by ‘Shark’ Hanlon while Noel Meade has both Monksland, runner-up to No More Heroes in the Drinmore Chase, and Snow Falcon, in the race.

There are two entries from the UK with Dan Skelton putting his Haydock winner Baradari in the race and Warren Greatrex entering One Track Mind who has not run since winning at Wetherby in February.

GRADE 1 LEXUS CHASE

Coneygree, Djakadam and Road To Riches, first, second and third in last season’s Cheltenham Gold Cup, head the 26-strong entry for the €150,000 Grade 1 Lexus Chase. Noel Meade’s Road To Riches landed the spoils 12 months ago and five of the first six home in that renewal are entered again.

Other notable entries include the Oliver Sherwood-trained Many Clouds who won the Aintree Grand National in April and Jonjo O’Neill’s Shutthefrontdoor, winner of the BoyleSports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse in 2014.

Don Cossack heads the four entries from the Gordon Elliott yard and along with Djakadam, Willie Mullins has also entered Don Poli, last year’s runner-up On His Own, Sir Des Champs, Valseur Lido and Vautour.

GRADE 1 NEVILLE HOTELS NOVICE CHASE

A total of 34 horses have been entered €85,000 Neville Hotels Novice Chase on the final day of the Leopardstown Christmas festival. No More Heroes will be a leading fancy for the race after his ultra-impressive debut success over fences at Punchestown in October and his win in the Grade 1 Drinmore Chase at Fairyhouse on Sunday. He is one of five horses Gordon Elliott has put in the race.

Willie Mullins has made nine entries with Outlander, a winner at Punchestown last month, certainly one to watch out for. Noel Meade’s Monksland and Shantou Flyer, trained by Colin Bowe are other possibles runners in the three-mile event.

Jonjo O’Neill has made two notable entries with More Of That, who returned to action after a year on the side-lines with a win at Cheltenham in November, and Minella Rocco who will be looking to bounce back from his first career defeat at Haydock two weeks ago.

GRADE 1 RYANAIR HURDLE

Nichols Canyon, the only horse to beat Faugheen, is the star draw in the €100,000 Ryanair Hurdle which has attracted 15 entries. The five-year-old is one of five Willie Mullins inmates in the race, the others being Arctic Fire, successful in the Grade 1 Hatton’s Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse, Diakali, Faugheen and Wicklow Brave.

Windsor Park ran second to Nichols Canyon over a longer trip here in February before going on to land the Grade 1 Neptune Investment Management Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham and he is Dermot Weld’s hope in the race while Henry de Bromhead looks set to rely on Identity Thief, who won the first Grade 1 hurdle of the season in Britain, the Fighting Fifth, at Newcastle on Saturday. Alan Fleming has entered the Fairyhouse third Gwencily Berbas and Tony Martin has put Thomas Edison, without a win since the valuable Guinness Galway Hurdle in 2014, in the race.

Nicky Henderson has entered the long-absent My Tent Or Yours and Hargam, both owned by J.P. McManus, and Gordon Elliott is another doubly represented at this stage with Tiger Roll and Chatham House Rule engaged.
